As most of you know, I have been training at the Olympic Training Center for the past month. I can tell you it has been some of the most rewarding training I have been through. Although most days consist of me getting smashed haha I know it is for good reason. I am fully believing in the training & seeing some good progress. I am slowly dropping my bodyweight down to 85kg & also doing some light cardio daily. I’m feeling really healthy and excited about the next few weeks.
There is always ups and downs but I haven’t left 1 session yet feeling like I didn’t improve. I know in the past I left about half my sessions just overly frustrated and feeling like I went backwards in my training. Zygmunt Smalcerz is pretty hilarious in addition to being a great coach which helps to lighten the mood quite a bit.
Yesterday I snatched 142kg with a pause at the shin, and, cleaned 175kg. Just at the Arnold 2 weeks ago I did 142/177 weighing a full 94. Right now I am weighing 91kg. So, I am getting in better shape despite feeling like I got hit by a truck every day haha.
My #1 focus is to improve my rack position in the clean right now. My snatches have been pretty consistent (besides a thumb issue), and, my jerks have been ok. Those darn cleans and that rack position are going to improve though. That is my goal for the next month. Oh, and to get my squats up. Rack position and squats.
