It’s been a long time since I’ve written a true “blog.” I came back into the gym today & someone asked me how my weekend went. Of course – I responded that it was awesome. Every single day is awesome. Of course, Jon North & I went to Midland, TX to conduct a Chase The Atmosphere Tour seminar at Crossfit Tall City – so it was even better.
I wanted to take you through the weekend, though. Or as I like to refer to: “The hustle.” I’ve never had a bad seminar experience. I always leave them feeling grateful, fulfilled, and more motivated. But they take work. You won’t be a successful athlete, businessman, husband, wife, etc, without planning ahead.
Friday
6am-11:30pm: Online work. I woke up early because I knew I had to leave for Texas. So I got about 4.5hours of actual work in prepping materials for my online seminar that launched last week.
12pm-1pm: Trained at Crossfit Pandora’s Box
1:30-3:30pm: Came home, finalized online seminar emails, and critiqued some videos on The Dark Orchestra (Our online team).
3:30pm-2:30am: Drove to Midland, TX
3am: Bed
Saturday:
7:15am: Woke up to go to breakfast with Benny, Tye (gym owner) and Jon
9am-6pm: Conducted the seminar with Jon. We coached all day, and of course, got some training in ourselves. I snatched 147kg (324lbs) which was the most I’ve snatched in about 6months (And on 4 hours of sleep after driving all day)
7pm-11pm: Hung out at Tye’s house…He beat me in mini golf. Yes, I want a rematch
Sunday:
8am-11:30am: We finalized all of the programming for The Dark Orchestra. I then uploaded the programs and critiqued videos on the facebook page
12pm-2:30pm: We trained at Crossfit Tall City
2:30-3:30: We went out to eat with the gym owners and friends
4pm-2am: Drove back to Colorado Springs
2am-3:30am: I had some custom programs I needed to write (Before monday Morning) so I got these done before I allowed myself to go to bed.
I know, that’s an incredibly long way to tell you that I was busy. But the point is that even though I was constantly working (and often on little sleep) – I still found time to train. I made time to make sure our clients were taken care of. I made time to get to know new people.
Success doesn’t come easy. It’s a constant hustle. You have to learn to enjoy it. I’m not where I want to be in both business & my athletic career…But, I work every single day to reach my goals. Don’t get overwhelmed by doing the HUGE thing you think will get you there. Focus on all the small things that will move you forward & that are manageable. These will lead to BIG long term successes.
